Meet Feiyang Yu

Hey, I'm Feiyang Yu. I've completed my Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University. My passion for software development and engineering research has led me to some cool projects, like working on software/hardware co-design at Lattice Semiconductor. I'm really into computer architecture and storage architecture, and I love diving into the latest in deep learning.

I received my bachalor's degree in Computer Science in 2022. During my undergraduate studies, I acquired foundational knowledge in Operating Systems, Networks, and Databases, crucial for my development as a full stack developer. These courses provided the technical skills necessary for optimizing software performance, managing data, and understanding system and network communications.

Lattice Semiconductor

Software Architecture Engineer

In my role within the Architecture Department, I actively participated in the software design for Lattice's latest generation FPGA chip, Avant. My contributions focused on improving the routing algorithms, which were pivotal in enhancing the overall efficiency and performance of the chip. This work involved close collaboration with other engineers to refine and optimize the software that drives our cutting-edge technology.

Software Engineer

As a dedicated Software Engineer, I manage a localized community portal that serves over 260,000 users, providing them with timely news and targeted advertising. My role encompasses the development, optimization, and maintenance of the platform, ensuring high performance and reliability. Additionally, I have been actively involved in a license plate recognition project, enhancing the technology's accuracy and reliability.

Hobbies

I have a diverse range of hobbies that keep me active and creatively engaged. Basketball is one of my favorite sports; I love the fast-paced nature of the game and the teamwork involved. Photography is another passion of mine. Capturing fleeting moments and beautiful landscapes allows me to express myself artistically and preserve memories. Swimming is my go-to for relaxation and fitness. It's a great way to unwind and maintain physical health. Additionally, I play the erhu, a traditional Chinese two-stringed instrument. It's a practice that connects me with my cultural heritage and enhances my musical skills.
